Bödvarr Ribspreader is the Chaos Champion of the Rotblood Tribe forces in Helmgart, and the boss at the end of The War Camp. The Heroes take him on after disrupting his plans around Helmgart, which makes him send out scouting parties to locate the Heroes, which in turn leaves his camp relatively defenseless.

Bödvarr wears magically enhanced, full plate armour, similar to that of Chaos Warriors. However, his armour has more ornamentation, a furry cloak and he wears a larger, double-horned helmet. He wields a greataxe called Grandfather's Blessing, decorated with bones, a skull and a human carcass. The axe has been repaired many times, clearly indicating Bödvarr was not the first champion to wield it in Nurgle's foetid name.

The Empire is replete with Bounty Hunters, men and women who bring a form of justice to the deserving – or at least to those capable of meeting a hefty fee. It is a profession people by scoundrels and the desperate, by deserters and thrillseekers. And just occasionally by men so driven that there is no longer a place for them, even amongst the fringes of authority.

Affronted by attempts to conceal the horrors of Ubersreik – to maintain the fragile lie that Skaven are naught but myth – Victor at last buckled beneath obsession and spoke more truth to his superiors than a sane man should. Though Victor never discusses what transpired thereafter, and his ties with the order would seem intact, the gulf between him and his superiors is wider than ever. Now, he finances his endless crusade with coin garnered from the Bounty Hunter’s trade – a pragmatic choice for a man who once relied solely upon faith.

As the Bounty Hunter, Victor dons heavy armour and favours ranged weapons, the better to keep their tainted and decaying flesh (and all associated aromas) at a safe distance. The Victor of today favours more brute force (and less finesse) than the Witch Hunter of old ever did. Finesses costs time, and to a Bounty Hunter, time is money.

Promotion in the Order comes as much from dead man’s shoes as from merit, and in these dark days there are many pairs of boots to be filled. The Witch Hunter’s path ventures ever into the shadow, and the shadows too often are more bountiful with teeth than glory.

Thus Saltzpyre’s long-abandoned dreams of ascension finally came to pass in the wake of Ubersreik, the ink still wet upon the Grand Theogonist’s commission. Whether he rises further, remains to be seen. Doubtless his many enemies with the order yet remain – and it might yet be that the world gives out long before the coveted rank of general is within reach.

As a Witch Hunter Captain, Saltzpyre is all that he was during the Ubersreik campaign and more. Myriad near-deaths have sharpened his reactions, allowing him to dart deftly to advantageous positions, from which his impressive array of weapons can be brought to bear.

A Warrior Priest of Sigmar fights evil in all its forms, engaging in close combat with holy purpose. As a Warrior Priest, Saltzpyre draws upon faith to empower his blows and shield himself from harm. Wielding trusty hammers or combining them with a tome or shield, he calls upon divine might to inspire comrades and strike fear into his foes.

After Ubersreik, Kruber realized his disillusionment of army life wasn’t temporary and with the ghosts of his past still clawing at his soul, he sought solace and found it in returning to his roots. By walking the wilds of the Empire and devoting himself to Taal and Rhya, the Gods of Nature, Kruber was allowed to breathe and focus, at least as long as he had a stiff drink or two at hand.

As a Huntsman, Kruber favours the weapons of the deepwoods – the arrow and the bullet. He cuts a very different figure without uniform and armour, but he is all the lighter on his feet for that, able to stay one step ahead of the foe, and rain down death from afar.

Stormfiend_vermintide_2

Stormfiends are mechanically improved Rat Ogres. By attaching two Warpfire flamethrowers to its arms, connected to gas tanks on its shoulders, it can spread a devastating amount of flames on the battlefield. A downside of impairing his hands is that his close-combat abilities are slightly lowered, but that doesn't mean he can't lash out to whoever gets close. As the Stormfiend lacks the intelligence to use his weaponry, a rat-like creature with a huge brain is bound to his back. It is actually this brain-creature that controls the action of the Stormfiend.

Also known as the "Chaos Spawn", this pure mass of muscle is a former Nurgle worshiper who received one too many "gifts" from its deity, transforming him into a monstrosity. The Chaos Spawn stands on a thick and a thin, bony leg, has one arm with claws and a multiple tentacles protruding from a teethed gab under his decrepit left arm. It has a mouth-like protrusion as a head, filled with teeth.
